Wow this week went by fast!!!

Monday was the 4th of July, gotta love the fourth. I woke up had breakfast got dressed and left Steven at home in front of the computer, I went shopping. Steven's birthday is in a couple weeks and I've known for a while what I wanted to get him, and I couldn't put off getting it any longer otherwise they might not have it (in addition some other places were having sales on stuff I wanted to look at for him) hence I ditched my sweetheart for a few hours on our first fourth of july together. I had tried to see if Jinnelley was up for going with me, but she was at work, so I promised to stop by when I was done shopping.

This is how I got into a little trouble, I was almost to MC's when I called Steven to let him know I was done shopping and would be home soon, I said about 15-20 minutes. Well about 1 hour and a half to 2 hours later I get into my car to drive home, oops I had left my phone in the car. Apparently when I hadn't come home when I said I would Steven had gotten a little worried and called me. Then got even more worried when i didn't pick up, (my bad) needless to say he was pretty mad when I called him back, and has continued to remind me when I go out to make sure I have my phone when I get out of the car, or call if I'm going to be out a couple hours more than expected. I always get kinda sucked in when I go by MC's, first I was visiting with Jinnelley and then Dor and then a crowd of people, it just happens. Maybe if I had told Steven where I was going he coulda figured why I wasn't home as anticipated.

In the evening Steven and I went grocery shopping, we went to Nob Hill. We're currently boycotting Safeway, and we like Nob Hill better anyway. I can still never find half what I'm looking for at Safeway, the day i made soup from scratch I wandered that store forever looking for the ingredients I needed. We picked up a few groceries, and sandwiches for dinner came home ate really fast and headed back out to find a place to see the fireworks. Originally we were going to go to Central Park, but when we got back to that area about 45 minutes after we had left it was packed with nowhere to park anywhere. Steven suggested that we go to the park above Bollinger and San Ramon Valley Blvd. We parked at MC's and walked across the street and climbed up the hill. The view was absolutely perfect, we could see the fireworks in Dublin, and the ones people were randomly launching throughout San Ramon. As we were snacking on our tub of Goldfish and looking down at the intersection the stoplight got stuck on green, it was a huge mess the people coming down the hill had no idea that the light was broken and just kept going through while the other directions were trying to use the lights as a stop sign and take turns going through. All the people on the hill behind us were talking about it and yet not doing anything about it, 15 minutes before there had been cops everywhere suddenly when they were actually needed none came by. I pulled out my cell phone and dialed 411 to get the number to SRPD, Steven proceeded to call them and let them know, I can't believe with all the people standing there watching we were the first to call it in, but sure enough we were. Eventually an officer came down and switched the lights to flashing red all the way around, when another officer was available they tested them and put them back on. We saw about 8 accidents almost happen, including a guy on a motorcycle almost get wiped out, it was crazy.

The view of the fireworks was amazing, the last time I had such an amazing view was the last and only time I had been with a significant other on the Fourth of july before, and that was with Jon in Berkeley. It is so amazing to share the fourth of july with someone you love, to be cuddled up together against the cold, looking up at the beautiful display in the sky, it's magical. Lol, even afterwards when you get up and realize you have splinters of bark in your pants sticking you all over, next year we'll remember to bring something to sit on. =)

Hmmm, the rest of the week. At some point we booked out tickets to Kentucky, don't remember what night that was. Steven got sick, and has been home sick all week poor baby! I went and picked up my parents steam cleaner and have been working on our carpets being spotless again, hopefully the pup pup will continue to help us keep them that way. Went shopping for luggage, didn't find any we liked. Shopping at Costco and trying to lay low so Steven can get better. The brat doesn't like to kick back and rest, and tries to do everything for himself even when he's sick. Hrmmf! Anyway this week flew by, so on to the next.
